The impact left him with a serious spinal injury. Right now, Adolf has no sensation from the chest down. It’s simply too early for anyone to know what the future holds; only time, healing, and his body’s own signals will tell. What hasn’t changed is his spirit.

Just one week ago, Adolf suffered a severe spinal cord injury at the T3–T4 level, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. While this life-changing injury marks the start of a long and uncertain road ahead, Adolf’s spirit remains strong, and his determination shines through every day.

Yesterday started off slow for Adolf as he battled some sternum pain and upper body stiffness. Thankfully, his occupational therapist gave him a great massage to help loosen things up. By the end of the day, Adolf was feeling much better—he was able to take a refreshing shower and finally get some relief after two days without a bowel movement. Even more encouraging, when his team helped him stand during his shower, his legs felt strong.

Today, he woke up with a little back pain, but nothing major. During therapy, Adolf bravely took on a standing exercise—pushing through discomfort—and took his very first steps.
Each day brings new challenges, but also new victories. Adolf’s journey is far from over—it’s just beginning. His road to recovery will be long, and there will be many unforeseen medical and rehabilitation expenses ahead.

This year shown me the power of community and inspired me to speak out for people with disabilities. I want to bring us together and make a positive impact on the world.

Recently, I walked a half marathon to see what is possible with determination and resilience. This walk was dedicated to those who have supported me and anyone in need of hope.

Adolf says he broke his T2 and T3 vertebrae, and dislocated all the way down to T6. As if that wasn't enough, he also broke his sternum and six ribs. He underwent a five hour surgery to stabilize his vertebrae, but still has no feeling from the chest down.

Your prayers, encouragement, and financial support mean the world to him and his family as they navigate this next chapter together.

When it’s injured - even by a few millimeters - movement, sensation, and even basic bodily functions can change instantly.
Recovery depends on:
• Level of injury (where on the spine it occurred)
• Severity (bruising vs. partial vs. complete injury)
• How quickly the spine is stabilized
• Intensive, consistent rehabilitation
Some people may regain movement. Others may not.
But every muscle firing, every regained sensation, every step - big or small - is a real neurologic win.
